Sleeping the birds and the trees,
By the pond of silent glee,
Shed the moon of thirteenth.
Explanation:
The moon of thirteenth is considered the most beautiful even among the harvest moons.
I was lured by the moonlight that I went out for a walk. The trees beside the pond, which
had been flooded by the bird noise in the evening, were quiet, because the birds were sleeping.
If I walked closer, they may wake up and fly away. So I kept the distance.
